Although animated shows may resemble the cutesy cartoon shows that are enjoyed by children, they can actually be a completely different type of show. Animated television shows these days are designed to be enjoyed by nostalgic adults and lovers of bawdier comedy. While shows like The Simpsons can be enjoyed by children, as they grow up and mature there are different types of jokes to be caught that would go right over the heads of children. Shows like Archer and South Park maybe animated but are not at all appropriate for younger people due to their mature content. Other shows like Ben 10,Adventure Time, and Phineas and Ferb are perfect for kids and adults alike.
