Strange Magic Movie Quotes
“Strange Magic” movie quotes take viewers on a musical journey into animated fantasy. The computer-animated comedy film was directed by Gary Rydstrom using a screenplay he co-wrote with David Berenbaum and Irene Mecchi based on a story by George Lucas as inspired by “A Midsummer Night’s Dream.” “Strange Magic” opened in theaters on January 23, 2015.

In “Strange Magic,” sisters Dawn (voiced by Meredith Anne Bull) and Marianne (voiced by Evan Rachel Wood) couldn’t be more different. Dawn is focused on boys and an upcoming ball while Marianne is the adventurous one. So when the Bog King (voiced by Alan Cumming) comes in to disrupt the kingdom, Marianne, along with the handsome Roland (voiced by Sam Palladio) and little Sunny (voiced by Elijah Kelley) step into action.

The three seek to find a magic potion, one Sunny must retrieve from a Sugar Plum Fairy (voiced by Kristin Chenowith), but the Bog King is after the potion as well. So when the three find the potion, the Bog King, when not being nagged by his mother, Griselda (voiced by Maya Rudolph), kidnaps Dawn. This leads them all on quite the adventure to save both Dawn and the kingdom.

“Strange Magic” helps open the 2015 movie season alongside the likes of ”Mortdecai,” ”The Boy Next Door,” ”Black Sea,” ”Still Alice,” ”The Wedding Ringer,” ”Blackhat,” ”Taken 3,” ”Predestination,” ”A Most Violent Year,” ”The Interview,” ”Unbroken,” ”American Sniper,” ”Into the Woods,” ”Big Eyes,” ”The Gambler,” ”The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies,” and ”Annie.”

I Will Protect the Kingdom
Bog King: “I’m going to destroy you!”

Roland: “No need to worry. I will protect the kingdom.”

Sunny: “Nobody ever goes into the dark forest.”
Marianne: “I’m not afraid of them!”

When the Bog King threatens to destroy the kingdom and all in it, Roland and Marianne step up to take him down. Few have ventured into the dark forest before, but they seem up to the task.
The Ugliest Creature I've Ever Seen
Marianne: [gasps]
Dawn: [gasps]
Roland: “That is the ugliest creature I have ever seen… and it was naked!”

Marianne, Dawn and Roland encounter quite the ugly creature in the woods. Not only ugly, he’s also naked (and easily embarrassed).
Meet My Mother
Bog King: “Meet my mother.”
Griselda: “Don’t you have a comb?”

Even an evil villain like the Bog King has a mother. To be specific, he even has a mother who will criticize his appearance in public.
We Must Rescue Dawn
Marianne: “Dawn! Release my sister!”
Bog King: “Give me the potion by moon down or you’ll never see your sister again.”

Sunny: “We must rescue Dawn! Who’s with me?”

The Bog King captures Dawn and holds her hostage until Marianne hands over the potion. Sunny quickly volunteers to help rescue Dawn but few are willing to help him.
The Sugar Plum Fairy
Sunny: “Are you the Sugar Plum Fairy? I expected something more… purple. Hello?”
Sugar Plum Fairy: “Ahhh! A primrose?”
Sunny: “It is! I brought it so you…”
Sugar Plum Fairy: “Uh uh”
Sunny: “So you can make the love potion”
Sugar Plum Fairy: “La la la la… How do you think I got in here?!”
Sunny: “Listen, my name is Sunny.”
Sugar Plum Fairy: “The Bog King won’t listen to me about what happened to me on that fateful day and I’ve been locked away for so long.”
Sunny: “That fateful day?”
Sugar Plum Fairy: “You were listening! So, I’ll do it!”
Sunny: “Yes!”
Sugar Plum Fairy: “If you promise to set me free.”
Sunny: “What?”
Sugar Plum Fairy: “Shake on it?”
Sunny: “Uh”
Sugar Plum Fairy: “You can reach in. I can’t reach out… You should see your face! Oh, wait, I can show you.”
Sunny: “Ahh!”
Sugar Plum Fairy: “Another good one! Want to see?”
Sunny: “No, no”
Sugar Plum Fairy: “Petal!”

Searching for the love potion, Sunny meets the Sugar Plum Fairy. While the Fairy initially doesn’t want to make the potion, since Sunny was nice enough to listen to her, she agrees.
Ready For the Ball
Marianne: “So, that’s how you react to a near-death experience?”
Dawn: “What?”
Marianne: “You were both nearly killed!”
Dawn: “You make such a big deal out of everything. Wha! I’m a total mess! We have to get ready for the ball.”
Marianne: “No, you’ve gotta get ready for the ball.”
Dawn: “Uh, you’re going like that? Good luck being asked to dance.”
Marianne: “I’m not dancing!”
Dawn: “Ugh! I’m going to dance with the most perfect boy.”
Marianne: “And, who would that be? Aaron?”
Dawn: “No!”
Marianne: “Benjamin? Charles? Darren?”
Dawn: “No”
Marianne: “Gordon? Herbert?”
Dawn: “No”
Marianne: “I’m going alphabetical, if that helps.”

Dawn and Marianne are sisters, but they couldn’t be more different. While Dawn is excited to prep for the ball, where she will meet the most perfect boy, Marianne isn’t in the slightest interested.
Straight On For You
Bog King: “Oh, no! Not another princess! Well, at least you’re not singing!”
Marianne: [singing] “I’m coming straight on for you. I made up my mind. I’m feeling strong now. Now I’m coming through…. I’m coming straight on for you! Yeah, straight on for you!”
Bog King: “Impressive!”

When Marianne comes face to face with the Bog King, she is not intimidated one bit—and even defies his wishes and sings around him. In her defense, he is actually impressed that she puts up such a good fight against him.
Don't You Worry
Dawn: “What if he doesn’t like me?”
Sunny: “What?! Snap out of it! Listen, like I always say,” [singing] “Don’t worry!”
Dawn: “Maybe he thinks I’m too perky.”
Sunny: [singing] “About a thing”
Dawn: “Or dance funny”
Sunny: [singing] “Cause every little thing… is going to be all right!”
Dawn: “My hair’s too foofy”
Sunny: [singing] “Don’t you worry… about a thing”
Dawn: [singing] “About a thing”
Sunny and Dawn: [singing together] “Cause every little thing… is going to be all right. Woke up this morning, smiled at the rising sun. Three little birds, perched by my doorstep, singing sweet songs or melodies pure and true. Saying, ‘this is my message to you.’”

Dawn is smitten with a boy and that’s all she has on her mind. She wants everything to be perfect with him and won’t stop verbally obsessing about just that. Luckily, Sunny is there to take her mind off things.
Beauty is in the Eye of the Beholder
Roland: “Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.” [kisses a bug] “Ugh, I think I got one of your antenna!”

Roland is a lover, that’s for sure, as evidenced when he kisses a bug. All is going well, at least until he gets some antenna in his mouth.

100+ Easter Eggs from Every Pixar Movie
Second only to maybe Marvel Studios and their wealth of comic references, cinema's Easter egg king is most certainly Pixar. The animators work on these films for years at a time and like to sneak in little jokes and references for fans to discover for years to come. People scour these films with a fine tooth comb looking for anything that throws back to Pixar film history, or makes references to upcoming films that just might hint at Pixar's next big hit. This list of Pixar Easter eggs has over 200 fun facts and little details you might not have noticed, from all Pixar films.

Pixar Animation Studios has done an incredible thing and not only consistently plugged their own films with sneaky little nods, but they've also invented recurring companies and items spread throughout their filmography. This both ties together all the Pixar movies, and cuts down on annoying and distracting product placement for real companies.

For example, either Dinoco or Buy n Large appear in nearly every Pixar film and Pizza Planet makes an appearance in literally every single Pixar film except The Incredibles. Not to mention the other Pixar inside jokes, like the crazy places they hid A113 (the classroom where most of the guys met in college), the Luxo ball (which was first featured in an early Pixar short), many Apple references (Steve Jobs co-founded Pixar, after all), and many other crossovers between the films in the Pixar universe.

We've decided to do a round up of ALL the Pixar Easter eggs and sort them into groups (by movie for the most part). As it stands there are over 200 Easter eggs here in 100 categories! There are even a couple references to Newt (a movie they never even finished making), Star Wars (owned by parent company Lucasfilm), and some Kubrick films as well. Enjoy the wonderful world of Pixar with these cleverly hidden Easter eggs!

Miyazaki in Toy Story 3
Totoro, from Hayao Miyazaki‘s 1988 film My Neighbor Totoro makes an appearance in Bonnie's room.
The Original Pixar Logo in Toy Story
The original Pixar logo (an indented circle on a beveled box) can be seen on a bag lying on the ground in Toy Story and is again briefly seen on Andy's TV when Hamm is flipping through the channels.

Home Improvement Reference in Toy Story
Sid uses a Binford Tools toolbox to trap Woody in a crate, a reference to the company from Home Improvement, the show starring Tim Allen, who voiced Buzz.
The Lion King Musical Reference in A Bug's Life
A poster for Disney's The Lion King musical can be seen among other posters in Bug City.
Finding Nemo References in Monsters, Inc.
- Before Mike says "And he is... outta here!" as they're throwing Randall through the door, Nemo can be seen hanging on the wall.

Boo gives Sulley a Nemo toy before he leaves her room. (As Monsters, Inc. was made before Finding Nemo this was a sneak peek.)

On the wall behind the sushi chef at Harryhausen's, there is a clownfish.

Dumbo Reference in A Bug's Life
The wagons that transport P. T. Flea's Circus are empty cookie boxes with actual turning wheels. The brand of cookies was called "Casey Jr. Cookies," named after Casey Jr., the train that transported the circus in Dumbo.
Pizza Planet in Ratatouille

The Pizza Planet truck (from Toy Story) is briefly seen crossing the bridge over the Seine when Skinner is chasing Remy.

Pizza Planet in Wall-E
EVE scans the engine of a Pizza Planet truck for plant life shortly after her arrival on Earth, and shuts the hood afterwards.

You'll remember Pizza Planet as the fictional pizza place that appears in Toy Story. Some reference or to Pizza Planet or use of the Pizza Planet truck appears in every Pixar feature except The Incredibles.

The Incredibles References a Bunch of Classic Movies
- The scene in which Frozone is held at gunpoint by a nervous cop is a reference to a similar scene in Die Hard with a Vengeance which also features Samuel L Jackson. Even the officer's facial design is similar.

Helen Parr uses the code name "India Gulf Niner Niner" (IG99) for the jet she flies to Syndrome's base, a reference to director Brad Bird's 1999 film, The Iron Giant.

- At Syndrome's base, Elastigirl looks at herself in a mirror and sighs when she sees her butt. This is a direct reference to
Peter Pan, in which Tinker Bell looks at herself in a mirror at the Darlings' home and sighs when seeing hers.

2001: A Space Odyssey References in Wall-E
Auto's design is a reference to HAL 9000, which also featured a red "eye" in the center of his body. The music playing when the Captain gets up on his own two feet to defeat Auto is well known as the theme to 2001: A Space Odyssey.

The Best Slice of Life Anime
When it comes to anime, sometimes it's nice to take a break from the craziness of fighting and watch something that's a little more like everyday life. That's what slice of life anime brings to the table- a narrow but close look into the life of a fellow human being, minus the mecha robots or witches with superpowers that other more fantastical shows have to offer. These shows feature ordinary people doing ordinary things, so don't expect to see any laser beams or epic battles to the death if you watch any of these.

In slice of life anime the strength comes from the drama and realism of characters, and often times the show will feature a love interest for the main character. Anime that can be considered as "slice of life" include Beck, the story of a young boy's desire to learn the guitar, and Bartender, a look into the life of someone who serves drinks for a living. Vote for your favorite shows on the list, and add some if you think they deserve to be here. Just make sure the show falls under the slice of life genre if you're going to put it on this poll.

No Balls! No Balls!
"It's your balls Bulma, they're gone!"

Dragon Ball always managed to work in some, um, mature humor int the series. We could fill an entire list with Master Roshi's pervy moments. Here though, Goku finds out that Bulma doesn't have any balls, to which Bulma thinks he's referring to Dragon Balls, not, you know, the other kind.
Bring Me a Drying Cloth At Once!
"Hello? Servant woman! Bring me a drying cloth at once!... Woman, can you hear me?"

Vegeta tosses back some attitude to Bulma after she orders him to take a shower.
At Least It's Not Pink
"It's the latest fashion on planet Yardrat, but I guess it does look a little strange," Goku tells Vegeta after he asks him about his "absurd looking outfit." Goku continues, "... but at least it's not pink!"
It's Over 9,000!!
"It's over 9,000!!"

After Nappa asks Vegeta about Goku's power level, Vegeta responds with this now famous line while crushing his scouter.
I Shaved My Moustache You Idiot!
Bulma: Notice anything different about Vegeta today, Chi-Chi?
Chi-Chi: Hmmm..Uhhhh.....
Vegeta: I shaved my moustache, you idiot!

After first being ignored by Goten, Vegeta yells to Chi-Chi after she fails to recognize that he shaved off his moustache. Sure this is from Dragonball GT, but it had to be included.

Bulma's Your Mother?!
In a conversation with Goku about whether he already knows Trunks' mother, Trunks says, "She's standing right there." Goku, surprised, falls down on the ground laughing and says, "Bulma's your mother?!"
What's a Goku?
During a showdown with Frieza and King Cold, Trunks says, "Well, sorry Frieza. But I'm cancelling your date with Goku," to which King Cold asks, "What's a Goku?"
Lick You to Death
"Coffee flavored candy? That's my favorite! Should I chew you to bits, or lick you to death?"

Super Buu (with Gohan absorbed) says this to Gokhan during their battle.

Pain's Epic Speech
"We both want the same thing. We both want the peace Jiraiya spoke of. You and I are no different. We’re both working for our own justice. The justice I have meted out against Konoha, is exactly the same as what you’re trying to mete out against me. Everyone feels the pain of loss the same. We both know that pain. You are working for your justice, and I for mine. We are just ordinary people driven to revenge in the name of justice. But if revenge is called justice, then that justice breeds yet more revenge. And becomes a chain of hatred. Living within it, aware of the past, predicting the future. That is what it means to know history. We cannot help but know that people cannot understand each other. The world of ninjas is ruled by hatred." -- Pain's epic speech

Why Are You So Weak?
"You are weak. Why are you so weak? Because you lack... hatred."

Kakashi: Not now...
Gaara: ..... how about now?
